Solar Grove is the brand new contemporary Irish music project founded by Dublin based and renowned tin whistle player and composer Kevin Meehan. The four piece live band features Ian Kinsella of Saltaire and De Dannan on guitar, Dónall Donnelly of Tremolo on fiddle, Fergal McArdle on concertina and Kevin Meehan of Dockland Collective on bodhrán. The first two singles for the project ‘Rust From The Storm’ and ‘Pontoon’ are available to stream on Spotify along with two accompanying music videos on YouTube.

The group play a mix of brand new compositions written by Kevin Meehan which were inspired by sunny days spent at Santry park and woods over the years, which feature several rows of magnificent, old red wood trees. Santry Demesne public park is located on the site of what was once a palatial old house and gardens, built in 1703, this park is theme of the band’s music and was the origin for the band name ‘Solar Grove’
